Position Title: Front-End Web Developer
Location: Santa Monica, CA [Telecommuting Permitted]
I: Essential Job Functions:
- Develop new frontend features from start to finish, including coding, testing, and
designing architecture; - Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code that improves the software stack while taking
into account reusability; - Collaborate with the product, design, and engineering teams on product development in
an open and creative environment; - Make simple, elegant, and engaging UI / UX;
- Improve existing user flows in addition to adding new user flows to increase customer
conversions and product adoption; - Develop challenging stack improvements and contribute to all parts of SimplePractice’s
code base on a daily basis; - Manage projects to deliver business value & drive growth;
- Collaborate with our lead engineer to develop new solutions;
- Work closely with product, support, and marketing channel owners to find creative
opportunities for deliverables; - Deliver innovative solutions that reduce development friction; and
- Utilize Modern JAM stack technologies to CMS capabilities that empower internal staff
to make content and design changes quickly with less reliance on engineering.
II: Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Technology, or a closely
related field plus 3 years developing front-end solutions, including user interfaces, new
front-end features, and writing test web applications. Will accept post-graduation unpaid
internship experience.
III: Special Skills Required:
- Strong command of HTML 5, CSS 3, EmberJS, and React with Typescript.
- Solid experience with cross-browser development, including handling browser-specific
issues. - Solid understanding of the git version control system.
Telecommuting Permitted. Salary: $156,351 per year.
