We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front-End Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will involve deep engagement with our backend microservices, JavaScript (TypeScript) front ends, and C++ embedded applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with specific expertise in creating rich single page/hybrid apps, reactive frontend programming, and a keen eye for design. This role will report to the VP of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
- Be the primary owner for all user facing interfaces.
- Design, build, and deploy 3d interfaces for real-time streaming of images from multiple cameras.
- Develop high performance streaming systems to fetch and render large data sets while maintaining a low-friction user experience.
- Produce robust technical documentation - RFCs, tech specs, and product requirements documents for multi team long lived projects.
- Iterative mindset - perfect is the enemy of good.
- Thrive in a fast paced dynamic environment while utilizing data to pivot to the most important task on hand.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant software engineering role.
- Strong programming skills in TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, C++, or C# (we love our statically typed object oriented languages!)
- Extensive experience using TypeScript and React to build rich mobile and desktop applications
- Have an acute product sense and place an emphasis on user experience
- Debug production issues across multiple platforms and levels of our software stack (no printlines please)
- Experience in a test-driven development environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have an allergy to monolithic frameworks and ORMs
- Experience with live data streaming applications for hundreds of thousands of time series data points
- WebGL experience to render extremely high detail worlds.

US Salary Range:
$135,000-$200,000
