We are currently recruiting front-end engineer interns who can design, develop, analyze, and test software systems (web / mobile applications) for Production System and Aircraft Operation team under Boeing Technology Innovation - Korea (BTI-K). This team focuses on technology R&D and business development related to production, supply chain, and aircraft operation systems to design, build, and operate aircrafts better.
You will design, create, code, implement, and improve various software applications, databases, to provide a functional, seamless experience for the end-user. You need to have cross-discipline development skills involving front and back end to create software applications, Also, you will be required to work in teams alongside front end and back end developers, UX/UI designers, product manager, and product owner to ensure all elements of web creations are consistent. This requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This role is fundamental to the successful growth of BTI-K and it will require you to work both proactively and autonomously with a diverse team of colleagues and partners with varying experience across different business areas, domains and backgrounds.

Responsibilities:
  • Understand and identify the user's strivings, goals, behavior patterns, and model scenarios of user's interaction.
  • Communicate with customers to identify their needs.
  • Create a convenient interface, which would fulfill the user's needs.
  • Research, develop, analyze, design and test software systems using engineering and scientific principles.
  • Troubleshoot user problems related to software or processes.
  • Optimize websites / web applications across different platforms, including laptops and smartphones.
  • Run tests to ensure code strings perform the correct functions.
  • Develop features to enhance the user experience.
  • Optimize web pages / applications for maximum speed and scalability

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
  • Ability to communicate in both English and Korean effectively.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical or related fields.
  • Ability to work full-time for months during the calendar year, ideally 6 months.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/Typescript.
  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
  • Experience with using libraries such as TanStack Query for efficient state management and data handling.
  • Fluency of understanding CI (Continuous integration) / CD (Continuous delivery
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience with testing tools such as Jasmine or Jest.
  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the following areas: Aerospace, Product Development, Manufacturing System & Technology, Smart Factory, Lean, Software Integration, Communications Systems and Networks, Data Analytics and Information Management, awareness of Product Safety and Certification.
