The job
We are looking for a Front-End Engineer / Angular Specialist to join AVEVA’s newly established AI & Digital Delivery hub in Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you will shape the front-end experience across partner portals, customer portals, and AI-augmented applications. You will create polished, accessible, and high-performing user interfaces, build reusable component libraries, and help deliver digital experiences that are intuitive, consistent, and valuable for AVEVA’s customers and partners.
Key responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain Angular-based front-end applications for partner and customer portal capabilities.
Develop and maintain shared component libraries and design systems for consistent user experiences.
Implement AI-assisted UX patterns such as conversational interfaces, intelligent forms, progressive disclosure, and real-time feedback.
Ensure responsive, accessible, and performant front-end delivery across browsers and devices.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers and backend engineers to integrate interfaces with APIs, MCP services, and search endpoints.
Essential requirements
Expert-level Angular knowledge, including standalone components, signals, state management, and reactive patterns.
Advanced TypeScript / JavaScript skills, with strong HTML5 and CSS3 / SCSS experience.
Experience building responsive layouts and consuming RESTful APIs from front-end applications.
Solid understanding of web accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1.
4–6 years of professional front-end development experience with a strong Angular focus.
Desired skills
Experience with front-end testing frameworks, design systems, component libraries, and modern bundling tools.
Familiarity with micro-frontends, i18n / l10n, AI or chatbot UI patterns, and data visualisation libraries.
Curiosity and aspiration to stay current with the Angular ecosystem and emerging front-end technologies.
Strong attention to detail, user-first thinking, creativity, and the ability to build trust through collaborative delivery.
Additional proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage, as the role may involve supporting stakeholders and business activities in Mandarin-speaking markets.
