Job Description

Our Customer is a leading force in the renewable energy sector, dedicated to powering homes and businesses with 100% clean energy. Through cutting-edge technology, we manage renewable resources like wind and solar, utilizing innovative data solutions to ensure energy availability when demand peaks.

Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Front End Developer to join our dynamic team, working on the forefront of energy innovation. You'll have the opportunity to develop user-friendly applications for both internal and external stakeholders, shaping the way renewable energy is delivered and managed. As part of an Agile team, you’ll collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product managers, all passionate about delivering a cleaner future through intelligent technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain responsive, high-performance front-end applications.
  • Ensure code quality and best practices are consistently applied across projects.
  • Contribute to and enhance our testing frameworks to ensure reliable software delivery.
  • Engage in product scoping and roadmap discussions, helping shape future project direction.
  • Stay informed on industry advancements and continuously build your understanding of the energy sector.

Please note: This role requires a minimum of three days per week on-site presence in London.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in building applications using React or similar front-end frameworks.
  • Proficiency with TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and Storybook.
  • Strong understanding of state management tools such as Zustand or Redux.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and testing frameworks like Cypress.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment, with excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Backend development experience with Node.js or Python.
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational and non-relational databases.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud and Kubernetes for cloud deployment.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL, Apollo Client, D3, and Storybook for data visualization and design systems.
