**ACTIVE TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED**
We’re building modern, data-driven applications that support mission users across the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) environment.
This role focuses on creating high-quality front-end experiences using React or similar JavaScript libraries and Next.JS or similar frameworks. You’ll work closely with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to bring structured data into clean, performant, and intuitive interfaces that directly support operational decision-making.
There are also active opportunities to integrate AI into user workflows from enhancing data exploration to automating insight generation. If you’re motivated to apply AI in IC environments that are actively looking to adopt it, this is a strong place to do that.
What You’ll Do
Build Mission-Focused Data Applications
- Develop responsive web applications using React, Next.js, or similar frameworks
- Create reusable components for dashboards, charts, and analytical workflows
- Design interfaces that make complex and enterprise datasets easy to navigate
Work Across the Data Stack
- Collaborate with data engineers to understand schemas, pipelines, and data models (e.g., SQL Server, Data Vault, or similar)
- Shape and transform data as needed for effective presentation in the UI
Contribute to AI-Enabled Workflows
- Support integration of AI-driven capabilities into analytics applications
- Work with teams exploring applied AI use cases within IC mission systems
Improve Performance and Usability
- Optimize applications for performance in data-heavy environments
- Continuously refine user experience based on mission feedback and operational needs
What You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern framework such as React, Vue, or Angular
- Familiarity with Next.js or similar full-stack frontend frameworks
- Experience building applications with dynamic or data-intensive interfaces
- Experience with BI platforms for dashboard awareness
- Working knowledge of SQL or similar query languages
- Experience working in U.S. Government, DoD, or Intelligence Community environments, or similar regulated environments
- Familiarity with secure development practices and role-based data access patterns
- Focus on usability, performance, and clarity
- Ability to collaborate across frontend, backend, and data teams
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to Have Additional Experience
- Experience supporting NGA
- Cloud platforms such as AWS (S3, Lambda, Glue) or similar
- Data visualization libraries such as D3.js, Chart.js, Recharts, or equivalent
- Familiarity with data warehouse or Data Vault concepts
- Exposure to applied AI tools, frameworks, or integrations in production environments
- Integrate with APIs, data services, and query layers supporting enterprise data platforms
Clearance Requirements
- Active TS clearance required – Can provide SCI / CI Poly
- 100% onsite in Springfield, VA

- Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $140-160k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.

What We Do
D2 Consulting provides services to the Federal Government focused in the following three area's We leverage D2 Consulting engineering, operations and governance best practices to efficiently and effectively deploy, maintain and continuously improve IT services and solutions. This includes not only engineering solutions such as VDI and providing direct support to operations but also deploying the tools to instrument and maintain Enterprise performance and availability (including ITSM and Enterprise Management Tools). Protect & Secure: This is our cyber security practice, which includes functions like audit and information assurance, as well as the traditional mechanics of securing IT systems and services. We have experience working with the Government to better manage risk to help move the accreditation process along. This is especially true with respect to adapting accreditation controls to a cloud environment. Cloud Migration and Data Center modernization/consolidation: This area is focused on cloud migration and adoption as well as data center consolidation. We work to ensure that infrastructure requirements are implemented correctly, according to best practices and in a timely manner.
