Job Description

As the Front End Architect, you will partner with a variety of stakeholders including but not limited to; Globant Commerce Studio Pre-Sales, Sales, Delivery and external customer teams across all phases of the customer lifecycle and will collaborate with the Senior Management of the business in order to define and structure our Technical Architecture practice.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and a passion for applying their expertise to help companies take the next step in their digital transformation. They would also have a good practical knowledge of the Applications space, with a sound understanding of the SDLC.

The Responsibilities

  • Architects should design leading eCommerce technical solutions that support industry-leading best practices in technology, features, performance, and scalability
  • Responsible for the technical design of client solutions. This includes a lead role in project discovery and definition workshops, creating scope and development estimates, and documenting requirements and designs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Test and validates APIs before and during writing specifications
  • Test APIs, review application code and DB scheme structure
  • Contribute to the sign and development of a project plan for a technical stream of work including integrations, customizations, SIT, and migrations
  • Understand commercial and profitability concepts
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute architectural changes.
  • Explain and articulate complex technical concepts and issues to clients in a simple, clear, and concise manner 
  • Gather & Document Requirements
  • Analyze trade-offs between usability & performance
  • Conduct client training
  • Plan and manage user acceptance testing
  • Communicate effectively with the stakeholders and cross-functional teams, and lead the technical part of the conversation 
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute architectural changes.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, incorporating new technologies for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of relevant experience, technical architecture, creating software design, and ability to build the full application from concept to production.
  • Strong hands on experience on ReactJS & related JS frameworks
  • Previous experience as a Technical Lead, Technical Architect, or someone who comes from a solid Software Engineering background that has experience in customer-facing roles
  • Strong understanding of server-side rendering, optimization techniques, and SEO principles.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Experience in analyzing and refactoring large-scale applications for performance improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership qualities to guide teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Passion for staying updated with emerging technologies and best practices in web development.
  • (Preferred) Certifications or specialized training in React, or related technologies.
  • (Preferred) Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
