Position Summary
The Front Desk Registration Specialist serves as the first point of contact for patients entering our facility. This position is responsible for patient registration, insurance verification, and ensuring accurate and efficient data entry. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors in a courteous, professional manner.
  • Perform complete and accurate patient registration and insurance verification.
  • Obtain necessary demographic, insurance, and authorization information in compliance with hospital policies.
  • Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to ensure accurate patient records and timely reimbursement.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all documentation and interactions.

 



Requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in patient registration, insurance verification, or medical front office roles.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (MA), Paramedic, or EMT strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to maintain composure and accuracy in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.
  • Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software systems.
