About the Position
The Front Desk Operations Associate is a member of our Operations Team. The Operations Team ensures guests and residents feel well cared for, the physical space stays functional and organized, and daily operations run smoothly. Some work for the Front Desk Associate is independent; other work requires close collaboration with the rest of the Operations team and Engine staff. This role calls for a strong hospitality mindset and a solid understanding of software systems and processes.
Areas of Responsibility
- Represent The Engine to all visitors, staff, and guests, serving as the first point of contact at the front desk of 750 Main St during scheduled business hours
- Navigate a range of digital tools, software platforms, and technology systems relevant to the role, and provide basic tech support to residents as needed
- Manage building badges and keys: program access as directed, verify credentials, monitor and control entry points using security platforms, and keep the database accurate and up to date
- Triage front desk and building issues as they arise, placing service calls and coordinating equipment service, maintenance, and warranty appointments with the facilities team and applicable vendors
- Keep office and staff supplies stocked, organized, inventoried, and readily available, and place orders as needed
- Support building walkthroughs and the upkeep of conference rooms and kitchens at 750 Main St
- Build and maintain working knowledge of the building and our resident companies
- Take on additional Operations team tasks as needed
Job Requirements
- Mission-oriented, energetic, and upbeat, with the resilience and composure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Extremely comfortable with digital tools and software; quick to learn new systems and troubleshoot basic issues
- Experience with building badge/access systems and security platforms preferred

- Personable and professional with fellow team members, guests, and staff
- Bachelor's degree required

- Proficient in Google Workspace. Extra points for experience with CRMs and project management software
