We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Bilingual Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish and serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while assisting with scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and office communication.
Responsibilities- Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions or concerns
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments
- Verify insurance information and collect copays/payments
- Accurately enter and update patient information in the system
- Assist with patient intake forms and documentation
- Translate and interpret for Spanish-speaking patients as needed
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
- Communicate effectively with providers and clinical staff regarding patient needs
- Handle general front office duties including filing, scanning, faxing, and email communication
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
- Fluent in English and Spanish (required)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous medical office, dental office, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of insurance verification and scheduling systems preferred
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Experience working with diverse patient populations
- Familiarity with HIPAA and medical terminology
- Ability to de-escalate patient concerns professionally
