* Ability to verify weather events (storms, heatwaves, cold snaps, precipitation patterns) against historical records
* Familiarity with US city-level weather data — temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind, pressure, cloud cover
* Understanding of how weather events impact downstream systems (energy demand, agriculture, transportation)
* Strong analytical and written communication skills in English
