We’re looking for a Freelance Tech Recruiter to join us as an early member of our hiring team. This means participating in all recruitment strategy discussions and talent decisions during the critical early stages of a product-centric company.
In the initial months, you'll work closely with the founding team, gradually taking ownership of key hiring areas. Given our early stage, we’re seeking a versatile recruiter who’s comfortable contributing to various aspects of scaling our team and setting up the foundations for exceptional talent acquisition.
We value team members who go deep into their domain, aiming to cultivate a group of true subject-matter experts. This commitment to craft and expertise is something we expect from everyone at amo.
Partner closely with hiring managers and leadership to define role requirements, ideal profiles, and interview strategies. Your expertise in advising on sourcing strategies, compensation, and hiring best practices will be critical.
Full-Cycle RecruitingOwn the full hiring process from sourcing to closing, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for every candidate. You will build pipelines proactively, not just reactively.
Sourcing and Candidate EngagementBe at the forefront of discovering and engaging exceptional talent (iOS, Android, Backend engineers, SRE, and Product profiles) in a competitive market. Creativity in outreach and a strong instinct for talent will be invaluable.
Process Building and ImprovementHelp design and continuously refine our recruiting processes, crafting smooth and scalable workflows without unnecessary bureaucracy.
Candidate Experience and Employer BrandingDeliver a personalized, thoughtful candidate experience that reflects amo’s high standards. Represent amo’s values and culture authentically to every candidate interaction.
Market InsightsBring strategic insights about the talent market, industry trends, and compensation benchmarks to hiring managers and leadership to help guide our hiring strategy.
Owning your ScopeYou will be responsible for the quality of every candidate experience, pipeline health, and key recruiting metrics. We value recruiters who take ownership and proactively address challenges.
We are open to different levels of experience, please indicate your years of relevant experience on your application.
4+ years of experience hiring technical talent in fast-paced environments (startups, tech companies, or agencies).
Deep sourcing expertise, you're passionate about finding hidden talent.
Strong end-to-end recruiting skills, with a track record of delivering high-quality hires quickly.
Excellent communication skills with candidates and internal stakeholders alike.
High attention to detail, autonomy, and an ownership mindset.
Based in Paris and available to work full-time onsite (Opéra).
Bonus points if you have:
Experience recruiting for early-stage, high-bar tech teams.
Familiarity with mobile engineering profiles (iOS, Android).
A background combining agency and in-house recruiting experience.
To ensure that everyone is set up for success within our way of working, we work together onsite 5 days a week.
We wanted to make coming to the office as comfortable as possible for you:
Our office is centrally located near Opéra (Metro lines 3, 8, 9 and RER A).
A beautiful Parisian-style office with high ceilings, balconies, huge windows, and lots of natural light.
Work directly with a world-class team and leadership.
Build an exceptional recruiting function from the ground up.
Focus on quality over volume, where your craft and attention to detail will be truly valued.

What We Do
Welcome to amo
The bike rides. The sleepovers. Your first cigarette. Gossiping about your latest crush. Being consoled when they break your heart. Discovering a new city. Re-discovering your own (at 2AM). The hungover brunches. The tears. The laughs. The love.
So many of the moments that shaped us were shared with friends.
And then those moments started happening online. Posting photos from last night’s party. Tagging your latest situationship. Poking your roommate (whatever that means??). It was exciting and well intentioned, but something got lost along the way. The platforms that were built to bring friends closer together became places we go to scroll through videos… of strangers.
We’re entertained, but where did our friends go?
A new kind of social company
We believe that friendship still deserves a place online. Our first app, ID, brought a new take on the social profile, providing a collaborative board for you and your friends to express yourselves on. And our second app, Bump, is the best map for friends — giving you a new home on your phone for the people and places most important to you. With Sugar, chatting with friends goes beyond the confines of a green or blue bubble. Drop whatever you want on an unlimited canvas, turning any conversation into art.
Together, the apps form the beginning of a new kind of social company. One that exists across multiple apps, but only one you. And with many more ideas for new ways to bring you closer to your friends. We’re going to experiment, build, re-build again, and no doubt get lots wrong along the way. But we hope that what we get right earns its place on your home screen — as a new collection of apps that serve you and your friends above all else.
On amo, your profile, friendships, and settings are shared across the apps. Trying a new one takes no time at all as your info (and your friends!) are already waiting for you. When we have new ideas, we won’t be constrained by an ever-growing tab bar and the four corners of just one app. We’ll make something entirely new and give you the choice on whether to use it or not. Take what you need, ignore what you don’t.
We feel a real responsibility when it comes to creating stuff for you and your friends — and doing so the right way. We believe that the company that survives long term in this space is the one that aligns itself closest with your best interests. So to keep ourselves accountable, we developed some principles that guide what we do.
