Freelance Coding Teacher based in Hong Kong - Preface
Preface is currently looking for enthusiastic and skilled tech teachers who thrive in group environments and love to teach! If you have a great sense of humor, the confidence to teach groups of 8 students, and can handle questions on the spot, we’d love to meet you.
Our classes are designed to be interactive, approachable, and packed with energy, so we’re seeking someone who can make tech exciting and accessible. At the heart of what we do is a mission to inspire lifelong learning and break down barriers to understanding technology.

Availability
We’re looking for part-time teachers available during the following times:
- Monday - Friday: 10:00–11:00 and 15:00–18:00
- Saturday - Sunday: 09:00–18:00
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging and interactive tech courses to kids and/or teenagers.
- Communicate professionally with parents/clients regarding class content and student progress.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and recommend next steps or courses as needed.
- Optional: Collaborate on curriculum development, lesson planning, and progress tracking.
- Optional: Support external events with businesses and other organizations.
Requirements
- A student centred approach to teaching
- Passionate about teaching and mentoring kids and/or teenagers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to create a fun, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Skilled in assessing student progress and providing meaningful feedback.
- Passionate about learning new things and capable of self-learning.
- Knowledge in computer science, information technology, or related disciplines (preferred).
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Always be early—punctuality is a must.

- Tools and programming languages needed for our courses.
- Teaching strategies and classroom management techniques to enhance your teaching skills.
