For an international organization in Valencia, we are urgently looking for a Senior VMware Virtualization Administrator. The Virtualisation Administrator joins the AWS Unit and manages the administration for delivering ongoing container platform administration and support.
Candidates need to be based in Europe and need to be fluent in English. No work permit is provided.
This position is long-term. This position is open for freelancers and employees.
During the corona crisis, interviews will be done through WEBEX, and travel is not required for the interviews.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Manage Virtualisation projects;
- Provide strategic guidance for Virtualisation services as required;
- Assist the Service Owner and Team Lead in the delivery of UN’s Service Delivery Agreements (SDAs) to customers;
- Assist with the coordination, preparation, presentation, and implementation of proposals and projects linked to the SDAs;
- Manage, prioritize and take ownership of tasks assigned to the virtualization services team as required;
- Managing service requests, change requests, incidents, project tasks, and others as required;
- Design, install, configure and support Virtualisation infrastructure;
- Assist in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of automation tasks using Ansible and related technologies;
Profile:
- +10 years of experience with Virtualisation systems (VMware, vSphere, and VMware vSAN);
- You have worked with Microsoft Hyper-V;
- Experience with Oracle VM and OLVM;
- Experience with Ansible or other automation technologies;
- Knowledge of KVM;
- Fluent in English;
Location:
- Remote, but candidates need to be based in the same timezone;
