This is a remote position.
For an international organization in Geneva, Switzerland, we are urgently looking for a Full REMOTE Scala/Spark developer.
During the corona crisis, interviews will be done through WEBEX, and travel is not required for the interviews. All positions are long-term.
This role can be performed remotely from Europe.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Development of Scala applications that reflect the specifications;
- Participate in the analysis and design of database schemas/tables/etc;
- Analysis and documentation of requirements following the standards and methodologies established;
- Design and development of components and building blocks;
- Integration with other applications/systems;
- Production of technical documentation;
- Formulation and/or elaboration of test cases/programs;
- Participate in the deployment of the applications in Scala and Spark at insurance sector;
- Configuration of the system(s) and in meetings with project teams and user groups;
Profile:
- Bachelor or Master degree;
- +5 years of software development experience;
- +3 years of experience and knowledge in Spark and Scala;
- Used to work in Agile and distributed teams;
- Excellent knowledge of English (both written and verbal) is required;
