JustWatch (www.justwatch.com) – the world’s leading movie and TV streaming guide – is looking for an editor with at least 5 years of experience and a proven track record working in the entertainment vertical. The ideal candidate will contribute to and maintain French language content for our localized site in Germany and be able to communicate and report in English.
We are looking for someone who is driven by curiosity, passion, a meticulous attention to detail, and a goal-driven mentality. This is a fully remote position, so experience excelling in a freelance, work-from-home environment is crucial.
Your role:
- Edit and post daily German-language content produced by a global team of writers who are experienced in writing for the France market
- Creating original copy in German for fields such as movie/TV synopsis, social media posts, and descriptions of content providers (streaming services)
- Staying up-to-date with movie & TV show releases and writing texts about the latest news, especially in German and the German-speaking market
- Researching and staying on top of upcoming movie & TV show releases
- Working closely with an international copywriting team
For this particular role we are looking for:
- A native German speaker with excellent written and verbal skills
- Previous copywriting & editorial experience (ideally focused on SEO)
- Considerable knowledge and passion for movies and TV shows
- You are intrinsically motivated and ambitious about content and growth
- You have an excellent eye for detail for everything from proofreading to recognizing reliable sources online to image selection
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English, punctuality and the ability to efficiently work remotely
