The Role

Liquid Agency, a brand experience agency, is looking for a FREELANCE  Communications Sr. Manager for Operational Total Rewards for a 12 month engagement. This is a remote position with the ability to travel 50% and ability to work Central Standard Time  (must be based in the US). 

As the Communications Senior Manager for Operational Total Rewards, you will lead communication strategies for our clients operational total rewards matters, ensuring clarity and consistency in conveying total rewards-related information across the organization, while managing rapid response communication for total reward-related issues. 

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in communications, human resources, business administration or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years experience in benefits communications or a similar role. Preferably, this experience will have been gained in a corporate environment supporting HR/compensation or Total Rewards communications, with proficiency in compensation principles and practices. 

What you’ll do

Develop and implement communication strategies for clients operational total rewards matters, including salary updates, bonus announcements, and incentive programs 

Collaborate with total rewards and HR teams to gather relevant information for communication initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals

Lead the creation of communication materials, such as written notices, presentations, and digital content, to effectively convey total rewards-related messages

Manage rapid response communications for total reward-related issues, addressing inquiries and concerns from employees and stakeholders promptly and accurately

Track and analyze the effectiveness of total reward communication initiatives, refining strategies based on data and feedback to enhance outcomes 

What you bring:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, human resources, business administration, or related field

Minimum 5 years of experience in benefits communications or a similar role in a corporate environment

Strong understanding of compensation principles, practices, and policies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences

Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Experience in compensation communication and rapid response management preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and communication management tools
