What You’ll Do:
The Associate Strategy Director is a senior strategic leader who helps shape and deliver modern, culturally fluent brand and campaign strategies. This role sits at the intersection of insight, creativity, and performance, partnering closely with Creative, Account Management, and Analytics to ensure our work is both culturally resonant and commercially effective.
You will lead strategy across key accounts, mentor junior strategists, and play a hands-on role in turning data, culture and audience understanding into sharp strategic direction.
Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic development across brand, campaign, and always-on social initiatives, ensuring ideas are grounded in audience insight and cultural relevance
- Partner closely with Creative and Account Management to shape briefs that inspire bold creative work and align to business objectives
- Own audience, cultural, and competitive research, translating insights into clear strategic POVs and platforms
- Lead performance reporting and analysis, translating campaign results into clear insights and actionable strategic recommendations for clients and internal teams
- Guide optimization and learning agendas, using performance signals to evolve work in real time and inform future strategy
- Present strategy confidently to senior clients, building trust and acting as a thought partner
- Mentor and develop junior strategy talent, setting a high bar for rigor, curiosity, and clarity
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure strategy is integrated across paid, owned, earned, creator, and commerce touchpoints
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in strategy roles within creative agencies, brand teams, or social-first environments
- Deep understanding of social platforms, creators, and how culture moves online
- Strong ability to connect data and insight with creative instinct
- Clear, compelling communicator with strong presentation skills
Compensation and Job Details:
This is a temporary position based in Los Angeles, CA or New York, NY. The allotted budget for this role is $2,500-2,700 per week.
