Join Loop as a Freelance Accounts Payable accountant and play a pivotal role in ensuring financial accuracy, timely vendor payments, optimizing reporting, and driving process improvements.
As we transition our Accounting team to a true business partnership model, you will be at the forefront to utilize your expertise to keep our finance processes running smoothly and efficiently, and always on the lookout for automation opportunities.
Your Impact: Accuracy, Efficiency & Insights
At Loop, finance is more than just meeting deadlines—it’s about ensuring precision, uncovering valuable insights, and enhancing financial decision-making for the group. In this role, you will take ownership of making sure that our vendors’ invoices get processed correctly and paid on time. You have an analytical mindset to analyze financial data and provide valuable insights towards KPI reporting.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate recording of daily transactions, including accounts payable and financial transactions.
- Preparing and processing payment batches
- Reviewing invoices for appropriate documentation & approvals prior to payment and use of Purchase Orders for invoice booking where applicable.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders within and outside of Loop.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance accounting processes and systems to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
- Assist in the monthly and yearly closings.
What Makes You Successful in This Role?
Success in this role requires a balance of financial expertise and problem-solving skills. You possess a keen attention to detail and are service oriented. While you excel at working independently, you also thrive in collaboration.
Your Key Competencies:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in a similar role in an international company.
- Hands-on experience with SAP
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- A excellent foundation in accounts payable with attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy at all levels.
- Ability to work autonomously while building strong relationships with Accounting and business stakeholders.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset—you don’t just process invoices and payments you optimize financial processes.
- Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
