Job Title: FP&A Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented financial analyst to join our team. The FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the business with financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing insights that drive strategic decision-making and contribute to the financial success of the company.
Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions.

Variance Analysis: Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance, comparing actual results to forecasts and budgets, including manufacturing variance analysis. Provide clear explanations for variances and recommendations for improvement.

Management Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.

Data Analysis: Gather and analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, performance drivers, and areas for improvement.

Cost Control & Efficiency: Support cost-saving initiatives by analyzing costs across the business and identifying opportunities for efficiencies and improved profitability.

Manufacturing Cost Analysis: Evaluate production costs including material, labor, overhead, and operational expenses to identify cost drivers and variances from standard costs.

Inventory Management: Collaborate with inventory and procurement teams to analyze inventory levels, material usage, and other factors impacting cost and production efficiency.

Process Improvement: Work with manufacturing teams to identify and recommend process improvements to enhance cost efficiency and productivity.

Ad-Hoc Analysis: Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as needed to support strategic initiatives, new business opportunities, and management decision-making.

Collaboration: Work closely with various departments such as accounting, sales, operations, and marketing to ensure alignment of financial strategies with business objectives.

Scenario Planning & Sensitivity Analysis: Develop multiple scenarios and perform sensitivity analysis to assess the financial impact of different business decisions, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CPA certification is a plus.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or related roles. Experience with a manufacturing or professional services company preferred.

Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.

Experience working with Netsuite or Syteline ERP systems.

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide meaningful insights. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present financial data and insights clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
