Company Description

Farther is a rapidly growing RIA that combines expert advisors with cutting-edge technology - delivering a comprehensive, tailored wealth management experience.

Farther’s founders are leaders and innovators from the private wealth industry who possess a unique blend of traditional wealth management, fintech, and technology production expertise. We’re backed by top-tier venture capital firms, fintech investors, and industry leaders.

Joining Farther means joining a collaborative team of entrepreneurs who are passionate about helping their clients and our teammates achieve more. If you’re the type who breaks through walls to get things done the right way, we want to build the future of wealth management with you.

The Role

Farther's Finance team sits at the intersection of strategy and execution — turning data into decisions that shape how we grow. As our FP&A Manager, you'll own the financial planning engine: budgets, forecasts, models, and the stories that tie them together. You'll be a go-to partner for senior leadership, translating complex financials into clear, actionable insight and helping us make smarter bets as we scale.

Your Impact

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly reforecasts, coordinating inputs across every function in the business
  • Build and own monthly management reporting packages — variance analysis, clear narratives, drivers vs. plan
  • Develop dynamic financial models for long-range planning, scenario analysis, and business case evaluations
  • Partner directly with business leaders to provide financial guidance, challenge assumptions, and support data-driven decisions
  • Track KPIs and operating metrics, surfacing risks and opportunities to leadership before they become problems
  • Own and continuously improve our financial planning infrastructure — tools, templates, and processes
  • Support board and investor reporting, including prep materials and ad hoc analysis
  • Collaborate with Accounting on the close process so actuals flow cleanly into reporting and forecast models

The Ideal Match

  • 5+ years in FP&A or a related finance role (investment banking, consulting, or corporate finance all count)
  • You can build a three-statement model and a complex operating model from scratch — no templates needed
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial planning tools like Adaptive, Anaplan, Pigment, or similar
  • You know how to turn a mountain of data into an exec-ready output without losing the story
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment where priorities shift and you adapt quickly
  • Strong communicator — you can walk a non-finance audience through a complicated financial picture and make it land

Bonus Points

  • Background at a high-growth startup or financial services company
  • Hands-on experience with Datarails for financial planning and reporting
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or a comparable ERP
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA are appreciated but not a requirement
