An FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) role involves creating financial forecasts, budgets, and models to guide strategic decision-making for senior leadership. Key responsibilities include performing variance analysis, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), building financial models for investments, and communicating financial insights to various departments. FP&A professionals require strong analytical skills, proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and effective communication and business partnering abilities to translate complex data into actionable strategies.
