A growing early-stage FinTech startup company, building a next-generation financial platform for companies, is looking for its Founding Senior Software Engineer to join the founding team and play a key role in shaping the product, architecture, and engineering culture from the ground up.
This is a unique opportunity for a senior engineer who enjoys ownership, technical challenges, and building impactful products in a highly hands-on environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and own core features across the full stack.
- Build scalable backend services, APIs, and data workflows.
- Develop React-based frontend applications.
- Design reliable PostgreSQL data models and ensure data integrity.
- Take ownership of features from concept to production.
- Collaborate with the CTO and founders on architecture and product decisions.
- Contribute to engineering practices, infrastructure, and AI-assisted development workflows.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong full-stack development background with hands-on experience with React and Rust (or similar technologies).
- Experience building production-grade web applications and scalable systems.
- Deep understanding of PostgreSQL, relational data modelling, transactions, and data integrity.
- Experience designing reliable systems where correctness and consistency are critical.
- Ability to independently drive projects end-to-end with high ownership.
- Strong product mindset and ability to work closely with non-engineering stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment with ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Experience using modern AI development tools and AI-assisted workflows.
