People are the front line of every security program, and attackers know it better than most security programs do. Cimento AI is building the modern approach to human risk management: realistic phishing simulations across multiple channels, training that adapts to each employee, a unified risk score for every person in the organization, and the same visibility extended to the AI agents now working alongside them.
We work with security leaders who want something better than the status quo, including teams like Together AI, Gemini, Exa AI, and DigitalOcean. We are an early-stage team in downtown Salt Lake City, small enough that every person's work shows up directly in the product and the pipeline.
Why this role is underratedEverything on the go-to-market side starts with one thing: how much qualified pipeline we build, and how fast. We are hiring our first SDR to own that. Consider what the seat actually contains:
You run outbound end to end. Researching accounts, getting security leaders on the phone, turning good conversations into booked meetings. Not inbound triage, and not email spray with a phone as backup. The phone drives this role; email and LinkedIn support it.
You build the playbook alongside our founding go-to-market hire. What works gets written down and becomes the standard for everyone who comes after you. Most SDRs inherit a playbook. Very few get to write one.
The market is ready. Security leaders already know human risk is their biggest exposure. That makes for unusually good conversations, if you can earn them.
We are looking for someone who is already good at this work and wants a bigger seat, more ownership, and more upside than their current team can offer.
What you will actually doBuild pipeline through outbound: identify and engage cybersecurity leaders, run a high volume of cold and warm calls, and layer in email and LinkedIn to support them. Help drive our field and event motion; we create great in-person moments for security leaders, and filling those rooms is part of the job.
Qualify and convert: qualify interest against a consistent framework so every meeting is worth the time on both sides, handle objections live and on your feet rather than off a script, and schedule qualified meetings with handoff notes clean enough that the next conversation starts strong.
Own your numbers: track your activity and your outcomes every week and adjust based on what actually converts. Keep the CRM clean, because the next person to touch that account needs to trust your notes.
Help build the machine: bring what you hear on calls back to the team. Messaging, objections, and market signal all start with you, and you will have real input into the outbound playbook as we refine what works.
How we use AIYou do not need to be an AI expert on day one, but you should be excited to work AI-first; we will get you fluent fast. AI researches and prioritizes accounts at scale so you never start a territory cold. AI drafts first-pass sequences and call prep, which you then rewrite in your own voice so every touch still sounds human. AI compresses the busywork, the call notes and CRM logging and follow-up drafts, so more of your day is spent in real conversations. We build products powered by AI agents. Working this way is part of the job, and one of the best parts of it.
Who should applyYou have a strong phone presence: great tone and pace, steady through rejection, able to earn the meeting in the moment. You have a competitive streak and you like the scoreboard. You are intellectually curious, ask more questions than anyone expects, and enjoy learning a technical space. You communicate well, spoken and written. You take feedback and apply it fast, and you treat your pipeline as your problem to solve.
Nine to twelve or more months of B2B outbound SaaS experience (BDR, SDR, or inside sales) helps, but we will hire raw talent over résumé every time. Strong candidates may also bring early-stage startup experience, fluency with modern sales tooling (a CRM, a sequencing platform, enrichment and AI-assisted research tools), or a bachelor's degree. The big accelerant is experience selling to security or IT buyers; if you already know what a CISO cares about, you will ramp faster.
You are based in Salt Lake City or relocating before your start date, and you will work five days a week in our downtown office.
How we workA few facts about the culture, offered without adornment. We work hard, in the way early-stage companies must, and we see no reason to pretend otherwise. It is meritocratic and it is intense, in the way that doing great work with great people is intense. At the same time, we do not take ourselves seriously; the work is serious, we are not, and confusing the two is how companies become insufferable.
We measure outputs, not inputs. In this seat the outputs are qualified meetings and real pipeline; you will track your own activity because good SDRs do, but nobody here confuses dials with results. Few titles and little structure, so the best ideas win through real debate instead of politics. Teammates and prospects always know where things stand, because trust runs on transparency. And nothing performative survives here: no theater standups, no decks made to look busy, no working late so someone notices. If a ritual does not produce anything, we delete the ritual. You would be surprised how much this one policy explains.
At this stage, the best coaching, the fastest feedback, and the most fun all happen in the room, and we want you in it.
A few questions to ask yourself before applyingWhat is the best cold call you have ever made, and what did you do in the first fifteen seconds to earn the next two minutes?
What do you practice, in outbound, that is the equivalent of a musician's scales?
What is something you believe about pipeline building that most SDRs would find absurd?
If you have crisp answers, we would like to hear them.
What we offer$65,000 base plus uncapped variable, with $105,000 on-target earnings, plus meaningful equity as an early team member. Final offer based on experience.
Health, dental, and vision coverage. Unlimited PTO. Three paid ski days: pick any mountain you want, take the day, and go ride it on us, with one rule: bring at least two teammates. Our office is on Broadway in downtown Salt Lake City, with a full 24-hour gym and a rooftop lounge, and lunch is on us daily.
