Our founding team met as PhDs at the Stanford AI Lab, where we invented State Space Models or SSMs, a new primitive for training efficient, large-scale foundation models. Our team combines deep expertise in model innovation and systems engineering paired with a design-minded product engineering team to build and ship cutting edge models and experiences.

We’re looking for our first Recruiter based in India, to help us scale our tech, go-to-market and business teams with the same thoughtfulness and precision that defines our US hiring. You’ll be responsible for identifying and hiring top talent across multiple functions including research, engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and customer success — partnering closely with leadership and helping shape how we tell the Cartesia story to the world.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and brings a mix of scrappiness, strategy, and care to every hire.

• Own full-cycle recruiting for all Bangalore-based roles, from sourcing to close

• Help to scale our interview processes in the country, including interview plans, rubrics and assessment criteria

• Partner with hiring managers to deeply understand each team’s goals and build tailored hiring strategies

• Craft compelling outreach and deliver an exceptional candidate experience that reflects Cartesia’s culture and mission

• Build diverse, high-quality pipelines through sourcing, referrals, and creative channels

• Manage the interview process end-to-end, ensuring a smooth, inclusive, and thoughtful candidate journey

• Track hiring metrics and use data to refine processes and improve outcomes

• 4+ years of experience in tech, GTM or business recruiting, ideally at a high-growth startup

• A proven track record of sourcing exceptional talent, and strong candidate engagement skills

• Ability to manage multiple searches at once, often with evolving needs

• Clear communication, attention to detail, and a high bar for candidate experience

• Comfort working with ambiguity and adapting quickly as we scale

• Bonus: experience recruiting at an AI-focussed company

🏢 In-office policy: We’re an in-person team based out of offices in 🇺🇸 San Francisco, 🇬🇧 London and 🇮🇳 Bangalore We love being in the office, hanging out together, and learning from each other every day.

🌎 Visa sponsorship: We provide visa sponsorship support and assess each circumstance on a case-by-case basis. However, visa sponsorship is dependent on many factors, including the role you are applying for, and the location you are going to be based, and so we can't always guarantee success. Your Recruiter will work with you to understand your visa sponsorship needs from the first call.
