THE OPPORTUNITY
We are building a unified financial platform: one account, every asset class, one experience. Trading, investing, crypto, and everyday spending combined into a single coherent system instead of five disconnected products.
The Investments domain covers stocks, ETFs, and long-term wealth accumulation. But this is not another investing app competing on price or feature parity with incumbents. The entire bet here is on integration: users who already trade, spend, and hold crypto on the platform should not need to go anywhere else to build long-term wealth.
The differentiation is not the product in isolation. It is what the product enables when it is part of a unified financial system.
Investing is a low-frequency behavior by nature. Users open investing apps when markets move, when they get paid, or when they feel ready. That is not a daily loop.
Your job is to make investing feel like a natural part of how users manage their money on the platform, not a separate destination they navigate to occasionally.
- You are building on top of a platform with an existing identity rooted in active trading. Making long-term investing feel native without diluting that identity is a real design and strategy challenge.
- You cannot win on features. Vanguard, Fidelity, and newer challengers already do stocks and ETFs well. Your edge is ecosystem integration, not product depth.
- Low-frequency engagement means your activation and retention metrics look different from every other domain. You need to define what good looks like for a product users trust but do not open every day.
- You are building coherently across squads. Your flows need to connect with cards (spending from portfolio), crypto (cross-asset view), and the core accounts layer without losing product ownership.
- Stocks and ETFs product: discovery, execution, and portfolio management
- Investment onboarding: how users get started, fund their account, and make their first investment
- Portfolio view and performance tracking: the experience of understanding what you own and how it is doing
- Buy, sell, and rebalance flows: reliable, simple, and fast
- Cross-pillar integration: spending from portfolio, unified asset view, portfolio-linked card features
You own this end-to-end. Strategy, discovery, requirements, delivery, metrics. Not just the roadmap.
- Users deposit funds into the investment layer and keep assets on the platform rather than elsewhere
- Investors become more engaged with the platform overall, not just with the investments tab
- AUM grows steadily with clear attribution to product decisions, not just market conditions
- Cross-pillar usage increases: investors using cards, viewing unified portfolio, and not leaving the ecosystem
- This is not a role where you build a standalone investing app and call it done.
- You won't be competing in a feature race against Vanguard, Fidelity, or Trading 212.
- You'll join a growing organisation where processes are still being defined and improved.
- Head of Product here means shaping strategy, driving outcomes, and delivering impact — not simply managing a backlog.
- UAE-based remote contract
- Competitive performance-linked compensation
- Market-standard benefits
- 30-min screening call
- Strategic product case: how you think about systems and trade-offs
- Leadership and fit interview with CEO and CTO
