About the role
We're seeking a full-stack engineer to help build our cognitive companion for knowledge workers. You'll craft seamless experiences across Web, Desktop, and Chrome extensions that transform how people interact with their information. As an early team member, you'll shape our technical foundation, working at the intersection of advanced AI capabilities and intuitive user interfaces. Your work will directly impact how people think, work, and manage information in entirely new ways.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement full-stack features across our web application, desktop client, and Chrome extension, ensuring a consistent and high-quality user experience across all platforms
- Build and maintain robust React-based front-end components that deliver exceptional performance and user experience
- In partnership with Design and Product, build delightful, pixel-perfect user experiences that are snappy and sweat the details on performance
- Collaborate with our AI team to integrate machine learning models and AI capabilities into our product suite, focusing on practical applications that solve real user problems
- Implement and maintain cross-platform communication protocols, ensuring seamless data flow between web, desktop, and extension components
- Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning by mentoring team members, championing best practices, and helping establish the engineering values that will shape our company's future
Qualifications
Required
- Brings proven experience in full-stack development
- Strong experience in both front-end React, Typescript, Angular, HTML/CSS) and back-end (Node.js, Python) development
- Has experience operating on 0-to-1 products and/or in a startup environment
- Proven track record of developing and shipping production-quality full-stack applications
- Hands-on experience working with AI/ML technologies, particularly in user-facing applications, and familiarity with cloud infrastructure and services (AWS or equivalent)
- Has experience with cross-platform development (Web, Desktop, Browser Extensions)
Preferred
- Has experience with Electron or similar desktop application frameworks
- Has worked with NLP and ML models before and understands their capabilities and limitations
- Has experience with Chrome Extension development
- Knowledge of WebSocket protocols, Local Storage, and real-time applications
- Background in building developer tools or productivity applications
- Has experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
