Position Overview:

We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Founding Data Engineer to join our team. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and collaborative skills to drive data-centric projects and deliver cutting-edge AI solutions. You will lead efforts to manage data pipelines, tune models to enhance our AI features, ensure compliance, and guide the product roadmap for our data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• 🛠️ Design and implement scalable data pipelines to handle high-throughput, low-latency transactions.

• ⚖️ Optimize database performance and data consistency using open-source, modern data stores.

• 💡Lead fine-tuning and deployment of LLMs and other ML models for fraud detection, risk analysis, and decision automation.

• 🤖 Integrate AI inference pipelines within a high-performance data ecosystem.

• 🏋️‍♂️ Ensure fault tolerance, durability, and scalability of financial transaction systems.

• 🤼‍♂️ Strive to achieve sub-millisecond processing within our transaction databases.

• 🎓 Guide a team of engineers in implementing best practices for scalable, production-grade AI and distributed databases.

• 💫 Conduct code reviews, system optimizations, and performance tuning.

• 🛵 Drive cross-functional initiatives to integrate AI-driven decision-making into our core systems.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years in data engineering, AI, and distributed systems.

• Proven track record of designing high-performance data architectures.

• Programming: Proficient in Python, Rust, Go, or Java for building high-performance systems.

• Databases: Strong experience with Zig, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases.

• Big Data & Streaming: Hands-on experience with Kafka, Spark, Flink, or similar streaming frameworks.

• AI/ML Frameworks: Proficiency in TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn for machine learning applications.

• Cloud & DevOps: Experience deploying cloud-based data infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience in fintech, particularly in building AI-driven solutions for financial services, fraud detection, risk assessment, or blockchain-based technologies.

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as AML, KYC, or GDPR in financial data processing.

• Expertise in real-time data processing and analytics for fintech applications, including high-frequency trading or credit risk modeling

• Leadership experience from AI, fintech, or accounting companies
