⛰️ About Northslope

The generational companies of the next century will run on mission-specific AI software that compounds their competitive advantage, not commoditized SaaS. We purpose-build production AI applications that enable our customers to operate at the speed, scale, and margins of an enterprise software company, in any industry.

We're building something fundamentally different: software that's as adaptable as the businesses it serves, created by engineers who understand both code and customer.

🛠️ The Role

As part of the small and fast-growing Operations function at Northslope, you'll own the operational, regulatory, and many other pieces of the foundational infrastructure that keeps the company running smoothly while we scale to 200+ employees. This isn't a role where you follow standard playbooks or rely on "how things are usually done." You'll build systems and processes that actually make sense for Northslope, balancing the needs of the team, operational efficiency, regulatory and compliance requirements, and our bias toward speed.

Day to day, you'll manage everything from visa sponsorship coordination and state compliance to NDA review, supplier onboarding, and office space management. Take them on, get reps in them, and figure out how to make them all work better. You'll be the point person for state agency requests and correspondence, work closely with our law firm on many legal and operational matters, coordinate GDPR and other regulatory compliance work, and ensure we're meeting all our obligations across US, UK, and Canadian jurisdictions. You'll also manage our physical office footprint, including lease negotiations, space planning, and expansion into new locations. And you'll move fast, juggling many concurrent workstreams while maintaining a high bar for quality and risk management.

This role requires someone who is deeply entrepreneurial, takes complete ownership of problems from start to finish, and operates with minimal oversight. You'll need to learn quickly across unfamiliar domains (immigration law, state-level employer compliance, commercial real estate, website management, finance), make decisions autonomously, and constantly iterate to improve how we handle operational complexity.

🎯 What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of operations experience, ideally at a high-growth startup or fast-paced company. You've owned complex operational projects and have battle scars from scaling through rapid growth.

  • End-to-end outcome owner. You don't just coordinate or track tasks. You own problems completely, from understanding requirements through execution and follow-through. You're accountable for getting things done, not just managing the process.

  • Entrepreneurial ownership mindset. You don't need detailed instructions or constant check-ins. You see a problem, you own it end-to-end, and you drive it to completion. You're comfortable operating with ambiguity and building systems from scratch.

  • Excited about operational complexity. You're genuinely energized by the work of keeping a growing business running smoothly across multiple jurisdictions. Visa sponsorship, state compliance, office leases, and legal coordination aren't chores to you, they're interesting puzzles to solve.

  • Exceptional operational execution. You can juggle many concurrent workstreams without dropping balls. You're hyper-organized, detail-oriented, and maintain high quality even when moving fast.

  • Bias toward iteration. You ship quickly, gather feedback, and improve continuously. Nothing is ever "set it and forget it." You're always looking for ways to make things better.

  • Strong communication and judgment. You build trust easily with employees, vendors, and external partners. You know when to escalate issues and when to handle them independently. You can synthesize complex information and explain it clearly.

  • Comfortable with multi-jurisdictional complexity. We have employees across the US, UK, and Canada, with operations in 10+ US states. You're energized (not overwhelmed) by managing compliance, legal, and operational work across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Fast, curious learner. You'll encounter unfamiliar domains (immigration law, commercial leases, state-level compliance, international regulations). You're comfortable diving in and figuring things out quickly.

  • Strong preference for working in-person from our New York office. We believe in-person collaboration makes us stronger, and we're building an office culture people want to be part of. Remote candidates will be considered but in-person is strongly preferred.

💛 What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary + equity in the form of stock options

  • Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance (inclusive of dental and vision) and 401k matching

  • Flexible hybrid work environment

  • The opportunity to build solutions, systems, and software from the ground up as we scale

  • A small, tight-knit team where your contributions directly impacts our ability to execute on our mission

  • Occasional travel (less than 10% of your time) for company off-sites where you'll connect with teams across our New York and London hubs

🛸 Our Principles

  • Only Valuable Problems: Not every problem is worth solving. We work on the projects that will significantly improve our customers' bottom lines.

  • Outcomes, Not Activity: We create value, not extract it. We focus on our business impact, not racking up billable hours.

  • Forward Deployed Engineering: We never build in a vacuum. We go to the heart of the problem and build alongside our users.

  • One size fits none. Generic software fails the most important customers. We build for the specific — the exact industry, workflow, data, and competitive context of the company we're serving.

What We Do

https://www.youtube.com/@northslope-technologies

At Northslope, we believe that purpose-built AI products in the hands of business operators create far more value than slide decks or off-the-shelf software. That’s why we partner with ambitious organizations to transform entire industries through Palantir’s Foundry and AIP platforms—delivering powerful, measurable outcomes in weeks, not years.

We operate more like a product startup than a traditional services firm. Our teams are lean, fast-moving, and relentlessly focused on building and shipping solutions that actually work for end users. With a team made up of 90%+ Palantir alumni, we bring the same Forward Deployed Engineering DNA that helped build Foundry to every customer engagement.

We only take on valuable problems—those that directly improve our customers’ bottom line and enable greater impact on the world. Our mission isn’t to log billable hours, but to deliver solutions that move the needle, fast. By building side-by-side with operators at the heart of the problem, we ensure what we build actually gets used—and makes a difference.

Our approach is rooted in:

Outcomes, not activity – We create value, not just effort.
Forward Deployed Engineering – We go off-road to solve problems in the real world.
Rapid iteration – We move from idea to impact in days, not months.
AIP-native thinking – We know how to unlock the full potential of Palantir's AI stack.

Our customers—ranging from industrial leaders to critical infrastructure providers—aren’t looking for PowerPoint decks. They come to Northslope to solve existential problems, modernize operations, and scale impact—fast. We ship working MVPs within days of kickoff and deliver measurable results in just a few weeks.

At Northslope, we’re pioneering a new kind of services firm—Palantir-quality engineering, startup-level speed, and boutique firm flexibility. We’re not here to play it safe—we’re here to expand what’s possible.
