About the company
Our client is a fast-growing software company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Work as a customer-facing engineer who takes ownership of client deployments from first conversation through shipped solution. Combine hands-on full-stack development with discovery, demos and ongoing technical account ownership. The role offers a path into building and leading a team.
What you'll do
- Tailor the platform's data intake and integrations to each new customer's file formats, systems and workflows so they reach value quickly.
- Run discovery sessions and site visits with experienced operators, and feed what you learn back into the core product.
- Build prototypes, internal tools and new workflows quickly, then harden the ones that prove useful.
- Create AI-driven automations that replace repetitive manual work you observe customers doing.
- Prepare and deliver demos, join customer visits and help convert pilots into paying accounts.
- Own the technical relationship after a sale, making sure customers get value and identifying the next problem to solve.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 1 to 5 years of full-stack or backend engineering experience, using Python and TypeScript.
- A track record of shipping production software that real users rely on.
- A degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, math, physics or engineering.
- Genuine enjoyment of working directly with customers.
- Ability to explain technical tradeoffs clearly to non-technical buyers.
- Comfort working on-site five days a week in a small, fast-moving team.
Bonus points
- Evidence of building something from scratch, such as personal projects, a venture you launched or original open source work.
- Prior customer-facing engineering experience, such as forward-deployed, sales or solutions engineering.
- Good judgment about when to ship quickly and when to build carefully.
- Regular use of AI coding assistants in your daily work.
- Notable achievement in a competitive pursuit outside of your engineering career.
- Familiarity with hardware, electrical, procurement or supply chain work, or with legacy system integrations.
