Forward Deployed Engineer

Role Summary

Take TradeEngage's largest customers from signed contract to live in production. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll embed with franchise systems and multi-brand operators, scope what they need, and write the production code that gets them there: field service integrations, data migrations, onboarding automation, and custom workflows. Target: 3+ years of software engineering with customer-facing delivery (forward-deployed, solutions, or implementation engineering), strong in Python and SQL, and fluent with AI coding tools.

Role Overview

You'll work with our largest enterprise customers to get them live and successful on the platform.

You own that technical path from kickoff to go-live. You partner with Customer Success on adoption, and you turn what you build into product so the next deployment is faster.

What You'll Do

• Lead the technical side of enterprise deployments from kickoff through go-live
• Scope requirements and integrations directly with customer IT, operations, and executive stakeholders
• Build and harden integrations with ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, and other field service platforms against live customer data
• Write data migration and onboarding tooling that sets up hundreds of locations, users, and service areas at once
• Build custom workflows and reporting for enterprise accounts
• Support security reviews and vendor IT questionnaires during enterprise procurement
• Debug production issues in real customer data: auth, pagination, rate limits, and unreliable upstream systems
• Turn repeated customer work into shared tooling and core product with the product and engineering team
• Travel to customer sites as needed

Qualifications

Required

• 3+ years of software engineering, including customer-facing delivery as a forward-deployed, solutions, or implementation engineer
• Strong production coding skills in Python and SQL, and comfortable across backend and frontend
• Built and maintained third-party API integrations in production
• Led customer data migrations
• Customer-facing and technically exceptional. You're equally comfortable in a stakeholder call and a stack trace
• Bias to unblock. When a customer is stuck, you own it until they're not, whether the fix is in our code, their configuration, or a third-party integration
• AI-native. You use Claude Code, Cursor, and similar tools in everything you do, and you build with LLMs to deploy customers faster
• Excellent communicator. You can explain a technical tradeoff to a non-technical customer and write a clear handoff for the product team
• Willing to travel to customer sites

Preferred

• Experience with ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, or Jobber APIs
• Experience in home services, franchising, or field service software
• Enterprise security reviews and SSO implementations
• Early-stage or founding-team experience

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $125,000-$200,000 base, plus bonus
• Equity: Total compensation for this role may also include an early-stage equity package
• Location: Strong preference for Miami, FL. Open to remote (US) with travel to customer sites
