The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Design and ship software around customer needs, combining hands-on engineering with direct work alongside customer teams.
What you'll do
- Build core product features and resolve critical customer problems.
- Translate ambiguous customer requests into specifications and delivery plans.
- Develop integrations and workflows for new customer deployments.
- Communicate with users, subject-matter experts, and executives.
- Coordinate with sales, product, and engineering to feed field insights into product decisions.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- At least 4 years of relevant backend or full-stack software engineering experience.
- Experience delivering software in a fast-moving startup environment.
- A computer science or related technical degree.
- Proficiency in at least one modern language such as Python, TypeScript, or Go.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
- Current New York City residence.
Bonus points
- Forward deployed or customer-facing engineering experience.
- Third-party integrations or AI automation experience.
Benefits
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: USD 170,000 to 250,000 per year.
- Equity: Competitive equity.
Location and work model
- New York City office-based role, with a stated four days in the office and one remote day. Candidates must already be based in New York City; customer onsite work is part of the role.
- Role-specific eligibility is limited to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or candidates on TN or E-3 visas.
