The roleAs a Forward Deployed Engineer you work directly with our clients and their development teams, from the first design session to software running in production. You are as comfortable talking to a client as you are reviewing code or solving a production problem. You take technical ownership from the start and make sure the right things get built in the right way.
AI is part of your daily work. You help clients move AI from proof of concept to production, and you use AI agents and coding assistants to deliver faster. You think like an architect but stay close to the code, and you have the drive to grow into a senior technical leadership role.
What you will do- Work with clients to understand what they need and turn that into clear technical plans
- Design the technical structure of software solutions
- Help clients move AI solutions from proof of concept to production
- Build proofs of concept to test ideas before committing to them
- Review code, guide developers to make good decisions and pair up with them when they need support
- Use AI agents and coding assistants to speed up design, development and testing
- Debug production problems and improve delivery pipelines together with the team
- Keep stakeholders informed, manage expectations and keep the technical direction on track
- At least 3 years of experience in a software design or development role
- A solid understanding of how software systems are built, connected and maintained
- Experience working with clients or in a consulting environment
- The ability to explain technical topics clearly to non-technical people
- A hands-on mentality: you do not just advise, you build and test
- Initiative: you do not wait to be asked, and you make the people around you better
- You use AI tools in your daily work, or you are keen to learn how they make you and your team better
- You speak and write English and Dutch fluently
- A salary of €4,500 – €7,500 per month, based on your experience
- Training and certification in AI, cloud technology and Agile
- Hybrid working, with our office in Veldhoven as home base
- Self-organising teams that work on Agile principles
- Room to grow into a senior technical leadership role
