Forward Deployed Engineer (Pre-Sales)

You are an engineer on the Sales team who turns VIDIZMO demos into working results on the customer’s own data, systems and cameras. Pre-sales engineers show what the product can do. You go further: you run the technical discovery, build tailored demos and proofs of concept, get VIDIZMO running in the customer’s environment during trials and paid pilots, build the integrations, and support the deal through to go-live.

This is a customer-facing sales role, not a product-engineering role. You write code to win and deliver deals, not to build the core product.

What You’ll Do

• Technical discovery: join discovery calls with account executives and partners, and map the customer’s data, systems, cameras, security and deployment requirements.
• Tailored demos and POCs: build demos and proofs of concept on the customer’s own content and use case, not just standard demo scripts, and log every demo on the deal in HubSpot.
• Trials and paid pilots: set up trial portals and run paid pilots of Nexus, AI Intelligence Hub, AI Live Insight and Redactor, including Live Insight on customers’ own cameras, with clear success criteria agreed up front.
• Deploy VIDIZMO solutions: stand up deployments in SaaS, the customer’s cloud (Azure, AWS), on-premises or air-gapped environments, and configure SSO, roles and permissions, storage and AI models.
• Build integrations: connect VIDIZMO to customers’ and partners’ systems using REST APIs, webhooks and connectors, writing the scripts and glue code needed, in the priority set by business leadership.
• Support deals through go-live: answer technical questions within one working day, help with security and compliance questionnaires and the technical sections of proposals, and hand over a working deployment to delivery and support.
• Feed back from the field: pass product gaps and repeatable patterns from customers to product and engineering.
• Work AI-first: use Claude or a similar AI assistant every day for technical research, coding, questionnaire drafting and proposal writing.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Hands-on software development experience first (for example Python, C#/.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL), followed by pre-sales, solutions engineering, implementation or other customer-facing technical work.
• Experience working with US-based or other international customers, not local clients only.
• Exposure to AI applications: LLMs, RAG, embeddings, AI agents and how to reduce hallucination; and computer vision and speech AI (object detection, OCR, speech-to-text).
• Experience with REST APIs, webhooks and integration work.
• Working knowledge of cloud, on-premises and air-gapped deployment; Linux and Windows servers; containers; identity and SSO (SAML, OIDC, Entra ID).
• Familiarity with video technology (IP cameras, RTSP/ONVIF, video management systems, transcoding and streaming), or the willingness to learn it quickly.
• Awareness of the compliance needs of our buyers, such as CJIS, HIPAA, FOIA and GDPR.
• Excellent spoken and written English for live calls with US customers.
• Comfortable supporting outbound sales activity (10–20% of the role), including some cold calling.
• Confidence running demos and workshops for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Reliable high-speed internet and a professional space for customer calls.
• Based in Pakistan, with legal authorization to work in Pakistan.

Working Hours

Remote, Monday to Friday, 6 PM–3 AM PKT (US hours), hybrid as needed.

Start date: As soon as possible. Candidates who can join immediately or within 30 days will be prioritized.

How You’re Paid

You earn a competitive monthly salary based on your skills and experience, plus uncapped commission, following the industry-standard structure for sales engineers;

• On-target earnings (OTE): your base salary plus commission at 100% of target.
• Pay mix at target: 80% base salary and 20% commission.
• Team-based quota: commission is earned on the sales team’s results, not an individual quota.
• Uncapped: there is no ceiling on commission.
• How commission is calculated: from 7.5% of what VIDIZMO receives on each deal, shared by everyone who worked on it. Your share is 10% on team deals and 15% on RFP deals. On a partner deal the partner keeps its margin first.
• Milestone payments: small payments come early for pre-sales steps done properly, such as a completed demo, POC or pilot, before a deal closes.
• Payout timing: commission is paid the month after the customer payment.
