Gowan Agro Canada is looking for a Formulator at the Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada facility. This position will report directly to the General Manager.
Role Responsibilities:
- Operate production equipment and systems in accordance with company procedures.
- Perform troubleshooting, minimal maintenance, and adjustment functions under direct supervision.
- Supervise assigned labor in the assigned area of production.
- Verify raw material identification and package weights before use.
- Ensure accuracy in ingredients and weights for staged batches.
- Process batches according to manufacturing instructions.
- Record complete and accurate data on quality records.
- Assist with other production and packaging operations as required.
Experience / Skills / Abilities:
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Basic math and communication skills as they relate to assigned tasks.
- Ability to supervise assigned labor effectively.
- Working knowledge of safety policies, waste disposal, and quality systems.
- Ability to operate equipment and tools used in production.
- Capable of working in confined spaces.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
