The Department of the Interior (DOI) protects America’s natural resources and heritage, honors our cultures and tribal communities, and supplies the energy to power our future. The DOI’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Cyber Security Division, is charged with protecting DOI’s information systems from ever-evolving Cyber Threats. The Cybersecurity Branch continuously evolves, develops, and updates its Cybersecurity capabilities in Order to mitigate constantly evolving threats most effectively.
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum 6 years of experience required
- Experienced in computer and network forensics.
- Conducts vulnerability assessments/penetration tests across the IT enterprise.
- Identifies, deters, and investigates computer and network intrusions.
- Provides computer forensic support to investigations in the form of evidence gathering, computer forensic analysis, and data recovery.
- Develops, researches and maintains proficiency in the trends, tools, techniques, and countermeasures for the identification of computer and network vulnerabilities, data hiding, and encryption.
- Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
