Event Cruises NYC and Liberty Cruise are New York-based brands offering a variety of public and private events and cruises. Our event and cruise team serves over 500,000 customers annually, creating unforgettable experiences for New Yorkers and visitors. As we scale, we are looking for aspiring professionals to join the team and help drive further growth. Our company is experiencing significant expansion and is planning to grow its fleet of vessels. The candidate will play a pivotal role in translating our vision into reality.
Responsibilities:
- Create floor plans and rosters for each shift.
- Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to review the menu, floor plan, assign side work, ensure correct uniforms, and review any changes.
- Inspect the dining room before each service. Ensure the floor is clean, table settings are correct, and menus are in the books.
- Engage customers in positive dialogue to ensure return business.
- Train staff to complete opening, closing, and weekly side-work duties.
- Maintain safety and food quality standards.
- Ensure that the restaurant complies with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Oversee the boarding and correct seating of guests and the overall quality of the guest experience.
- Coordinate and optimize FOH and BOH restaurant operations.
- Provide support to Front-of-House team members to ensure successful service; willingness to jump in and assist with any job.
- Manage the venue to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly.
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints. Relay any guest complaints and suggestions to upper management.
- Train new and current employees to company standards.
- Perform table touches and ensure steps of service are being followed.
- Ensure menu books match the online offering.
- Check out each team member and conduct a final walk-through of the vessel, including the dining room, bar, and kitchen. Complete the closing checklist.
- Ensure nightly deposit is done and drawer is counted. Send pictures.
- Verify all checklists and opening/closing procedures are being completed.
- Attend weekly manager meetings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

- Minimum 3 years Hospitality Experience
