Job Description

Nokia of America Corporation, FN Americas RBC Customer Engineer (Multiple Positions), Murray Hill, NJ.

SALARY RANGE: $131,290 - $166,400 per year

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)

Responsibilities

Nokia of America Corporation, FN Americas RBC Customer Engineer (Multiple Positions), Murray Hill, NJ. Design, architect, upgrade, and migrate access networks, including GPON (Gigabyte Passive Optical Network), XGS-PON (10 Gigabit Symmetrical PON], Nokia WiFi, TR-069 Standard Auto Configuration Server (ACS), and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) introduction for new customers. Conduct network system element integration and verification by planning, designing, and executing solutions for network issues. Assist with network element integration, including customizing documentation, performing software updates, establishing and validating connectivity to network and element management system, testing alarms, timing and synchronization, redundancy, call flows, services, and any customer specific tests necessary to ensure the passing of voice calls, data, and video traffic. Develop network deployment configuration templates for software and hardware, IP (Internet Protocol) address, VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network), Capacity, and QoS (Quality of Service) plans. Engage in system development design involving interface specifications, design of Migration Methods of procedure (MoPs), failure Mode Analysis, detailed capacity guidelines, and performance analysis. Install and configure ACS solutions with FWA customer deployments, including remote support to bring FastMile Outdoor Unit/beacon CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) and Indoor Unit CPE online to support device activation. Validate interoperability of integrated ACS with third party legacy CPE's. Install and configure Nokia's cHDM (containerized Home Device Manager) ACS to deliver, activate and manage services for Nokia Mobile CPE's and Nokia WiFi CPE's. Deploy NWCC (Nokia WiFi Cloud Controller) solution in AWS cloud environment. #LI-DNI

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Access technologies, including GPON and/or XGS-PON; Network element management systems; L2 and L3 technologies; Network engineering, network design, and network integration; and Standard TR-069 Auto Configuration Server (ACS); Manual and automated configuration provisioning with stack development and device integration with customer's OSS; and Utilizing CWMP (CPE Wan Management Protocol).

Domestic travel required up to 10%.

Telecommuting from any location in the U.S. permitted.
