JOB SUMMARY: 

Tower Imaging Valencia is seeking an experienced Float Radiologic Technologist- CRT to provide diagnostic imaging services in multiple modalities. This role is ideal for a versatile technologist with hands-on experience in CT and DEXA imaging, along with certification and clinical experience administering IV contrast. The Float Rad Tech-CRT ensures consistent, high-quality patient care and imaging support with the modality they are assigned each day. 

  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic X-ray, CT, and DEXA imaging studies in accordance with physician orders and department protocols. 
  • Administer IV contrast media following established safety protocols, including patient screening, venipuncture, and monitoring for reactions. 
  • Position patients correctly and select appropriate technical factors to produce high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure. 
  • Verify patient identity orders, and safety screening prior to each exam. 
  • Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and exam logs in the practice's information systems. 
  • Ensure imaging equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and reported for service when issues arise.
  • Follow all radiation safety, infection control, and HIPAA compliance standards. 
  • Communicate professionally with patients, referring physicians, and staff.
  • Perform QA and ensure ongoing maintenance in all procedure rooms.
  • Adapt quickly to different site workflows, equipment, and teams as a float team member. 
  • Ability to perform exams and to assist physician with invasive procedures as needed. 

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attend regular meetings or training seminars as requested. 
  • Meet all corporate and site policies and protocols (conduct, etc.)

  • Participate in community and professional organizations that are consistent with the department’s objectives if directed by the Company.

Requirements

AVAILABILITY:

  • Part-time (Potential transition to Full-Time)
  • Weekend Availability: Required- candidates must be able to work weekend shifts. 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current valid unlimited California radiology certification. CRT + ARRT licenses required. 
  • Completion of training in x-ray, fluoroscopic and C. Arm procedures and standards at an approved clinical education site.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification. 
  • Strong working knowledge of medical terminology including abbreviations. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to obtain and convey information in a clear, accurate and timely manner. 
  • Demonstrate skill in operating computers and required software programs to accomplish job tasks. 

Skills Required

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Current valid unlimited California radiology certification (CRT)
  • ARRT certification / license
  • Certification and clinical experience administering IV contrast (venipuncture and monitoring)
  • Training in x-ray, fluoroscopic and C-arm procedures
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Weekend availability / ability to work weekend shifts
  • Strong working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Skill operating computers and required software programs
