About the Role:
The Float Glass Keeper plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, safety, and efficient handling of float glass products within the consumer support services industry. This position is responsible for overseeing the storage, inventory management, and protection of float glass materials to prevent damage and maintain product integrity. The role requires close collaboration with production, logistics, and quality assurance teams to coordinate the timely movement and proper care of glass products. The Float Glass Keeper ensures compliance with safety standards and operational procedures to minimize risks associated with handling fragile materials. Ultimately, this position contributes to customer satisfaction by maintaining high-quality standards and supporting seamless supply chain operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in warehouse or inventory management, preferably in handling fragile or glass products.
- Basic knowledge of safety standards related to material handling.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in forklift operation or other relevant equipment.
- Experience working in the consumer support services or glass manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
- Training in occupational health and safety standards.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of float glass products, ensuring accurate inventory records are maintained.
- Inspect glass materials regularly for any signs of damage or defects and report issues promptly to the quality control team.
- Coordinate with production and logistics teams to schedule and facilitate the safe movement of glass products within the facility.
- Implement and adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the storage area to optimize space utilization and accessibility.
