Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Flightline Operations Managers (Level K) to support the 737 Max Program in Seattle, Washington. The positions are for Shift 2 and 3, the Shift will be determined after the interview.
The successful candidate must be able to develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Ensures that air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and postflight checks, releases for flight, and preparation for delivery
- Interfaces with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance
- Develops and executes project and process plans; implement policies and procedures; set operational goals
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers, and lead process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Actively promotes the growth and development of employees and fosters an environment of respect and inclusion
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manages, develops, and motivates employees
Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience in an Aerospace, Fabrication or Manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment
- Possess an Airframe & Powerplant License (A&P) or the ability to obtain an A&P within 12 months
- Ability to work variable shifts including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends as needed
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience);
- 1+ years of flightline operations experience
- 3+ years of experience working with live customers
- 3+ years of experience with any of the following: avionics, troubleshooting capabilities, functional test knowledge, release, ticket experience, manufacturing, and/or structures
- Proficiency using CMES software
