About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and self-driven Flight Test Operations Coordinator to support day-to-day operations for a fast-paced UAS flight test organization. This role focuses on logistics, inventory management, FAA registration/compliance support, and operational coordination to keep flight test activities moving efficiently.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment supporting defense-focused UAS operations.

What You'll Do

Inventory & Asset Management
  • Track and maintain flight test inventory, consumables, tools, batteries, payloads, and support equipment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and proactively order replacement items.
  • Maintain accountability of equipment issued to personnel and field teams.
  • Organize storage areas, staging areas, and operational equipment.
  • Coordinate receiving, shipping, and movement of equipment between locations and test sites.

Flight Test Logistics
  • Support daily operational logistics for flight test events.
  • Assist with travel coordination, shipping, packing lists, and field deployment preparation.
  • Help prepare aircraft and support equipment for test events.
  • Coordinate vendor orders and track procurement status.
  • Maintain operational readiness of support equipment and supplies.

FAA & Compliance Support
  • Register aircraft with the FAA and maintain aircraft registration records.
  • Assist with N-number tracking and documentation.
  • Support FAA Part 107 operational compliance efforts.
  • Assist with COA documentation, airspace coordination, and operational paperwork.
  • Maintain organized records of aircraft documentation, approvals, and operational files.

Administrative Support
  • Maintain trackers, spreadsheets, and operational databases.
  • Assist leadership with operational coordination and scheduling.
  • Help improve internal processes and organization.
  • Support cross-functional teams including Flight Test, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations.

Required Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Experience managing inventory, logistics, or operational support.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally.
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to ITAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with UAS/drone operations.
  • Familiarity with FAA Part 107 regulations.
  • Experience with FAA aircraft registration processes and N-numbers.
  • Experience supporting aviation, defense, or field operations teams.
  • Experience using inventory tracking systems or asset management tools.
  • Familiarity with COAs, NOTAMs, or airspace coordination.
  • Prior military aviation/UAS experience is a plus.

Work Environment 
  • Based at our Headquarters in San Diego, CA 
  • Ability to work in-office & flexible hours as needed 
  
Compensation 
U.S. Range: $34 - $45 per hour
