Responsibilities- Receive system requirements from System Engineers and develop flight test plans to verify system capabilities.
- Design flight test scenarios, define test objectives, success criteria, and measurement methods.
- Lead all flight test preparations, including coordination of personnel, equipment, test assets, flight areas, and required approvals.
- Manage and execute flight test activities in the field while coordinating with engineering and operational teams.
- Make real-time decisions during test execution and provide technical responses to unexpected events and changing conditions.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements, system readiness, and risk mitigation throughout all flight operations.
- Collect flight data, extract logs, and analyze system performance.
- Prepare comprehensive test reports, summarize findings, and provide recommendations for product improvements.
- Work closely with System Engineering, Software, Integration, Pilots, Operators, and Safety teams.
- Support the validation and verification of advanced UAV systems throughout the product development lifecycle.
- At least 3 years of experience in planning, managing, or executing tests for complex systems.
- Experience with unmanned aerial systems (UAS/UAV) – significant advantage.
- Experience in developing test plans, defining test methodologies, and analyzing test results.
- Experience writing technical reports and documenting engineering findings.
- Familiarity with product development, system integration, and Verification & Validation (V&V) processes – advantage.
- Strong planning and end-to-end project execution capabilities.
- Ability to make decisions under pressure in a dynamic operational environment.
- Willingness to travel and work in the field as required.
- Fluent Hebrew and strong technical English skills.
- B.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline – advantage.
