Overview of Role

Five Arrows Managers North America LLC is now looking to recruit a Jr. Operations/Trade Settlement Analyst to join its Manhattan Beach investment operations team. The ideal candidate is interested in the investment management industry with finance knowledge, analytical skills, and excellent writing, communication and computer skills. The position will be primarily responsible for administering all aspects related to the daily accounting of portfolio assets and trade settlements of the investment portfolios.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily activity flow for loans in internal loan accounting system.
  • Manage trade settlement administration: inputting security trades in loan accounting system, contacting trade counterparties, reviewing documentation, scheduling and closing settlements, and disseminating information to third party portfolio custodians.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in trade matching, pricing, or fees.
  • Perform daily cash reconciliation for investment portfolios and resolve issues.
  • Compile portfolio cash position projections for Portfolio Managers.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • The ideal candidate will likely have 1-3 Years of bank loan operations experience.

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

  • Basic understanding of fixed income investment principles required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong mathematical skills to calculate complex delayed compensation and cost of carry formulas.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with extreme attention to detail to catch data inconsistencies.
  • Individual must be driven, resourceful and self-starter.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Expected base salary rates for this role in our Manhattan Beach Office will be between $75,000 and $85,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, salary offers are determined on an individualized basis and are based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience and education. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and our Rothschild & Co employee benefits package, successful candidates may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
