We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments.
At Applied Intuition, you will:Test Automation & Python
Proficient with Python/Bash for tooling, CLI apps (cmd2), pytest test infrastructure, and hardware driver libraries
Experience building test frameworks that interact with real physical hardware
Experience building/scaling infrastructure to manage hardware test labs at medium-large scale - O(100s) of test benches/DUTs running O(1000s) of jobs daily
Ability to diagnose and fix flaky integration tests in production CI
Embedded Hardware
Comfortable/proficient with basic-intermediate hardware/software debugging
Logic analyzers/oscilloscopes
Building/wiring basic circuits
Experience building on-target software for firmware/embedded systems, especially those that interact with PC-side applications
Experience with JTAG debuggers (JLINK, Lauterbachor similar) and embedded target bring-up
Understanding of modern CI/HIL concepts;
Infrastructure & DevOps
Proficient and productive with the linux command line
Linux systems administration (networking, udev, kernel modules, systemd) - ideally on baremetal machines (vs. all VMs or something)
4+ years experience as software engineer, and at least 2 years experience working on system architecture and implementation
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
CI/CD pipeline design (Buildkite, Jenkins or similar); experience with self-hosted runners on physical machines
Bazel/monorepo experience in large codebases
Familiarity with CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay bus tooling and SocketCAN
Strong Nix/NixOS experience: flakes, modules, derivations, fixed-output fetches, VM tests

Skills Required
- 4+ years experience as a software engineer
- At least 2 years experience working on system architecture and implementation
