Bucks and Jakes Outfitters is hiring for a Part-Time weekend Firearms Technician (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Give excellent customer service.
- Complete 4473’s accurately per ATF guidelines and Bucks and Jakes policy
- Keep yourself aware of gun laws and regulations pertaining to the sale of guns.
- Be able to transfer guns in and out of the store by making the proper entries in the requisition and disposition books.
- Answering phone calls
- Continually educate yourself on new guns and gun products
- Place special orders for customers according to the Bucks and Jakes policy.
- Cross train in different areas of the store, there may be occasions that require you to cover another area of the store.
- Assist in the training of coworkers and new team members in your core responsibilities.
- Ringing up sales on the register
- When buying used guns from customers you will need to reference the Shooters Bible and compare to similar guns in the system
- Follow the discount and return policies set forth by Bucks and Jakes ownership/management.
- When not helping customers straighten the gun counter area, clean the gun display cases, sweep the floor, etc.
- If your area is clean do a sweep of the entire store looking for things that can be straightened, cleaned, or restocked. This includes the restrooms and break area.
- Stay productive with minimum supervision.
- Communicate daily on the tasks that were achieved along with the challenges that you faced.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Maintain an “I can do that” attitude.
- Work as team player in your store as well as with the team members of the other location.
- Any other job duties assigned by management daily.
- Pre-employment background screening required
- Weekends required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- 20-24 hours weekly
- Blackout dates apply during peak seasons and holidays

- Ability to work with minimal supervision and communicate daily about tasks and challenges
