Position Overview:
FT Partners is seeking a highly motivated Equity Research Associate to join its Equity Research Department. This position offers direct exposure to the rapidly evolving FinTech sector and the opportunity to work closely with Senior Research Analysts on research, analysis, and client-facing projects. The role will also include mentoring and managing junior research analysts. Potential for lead coverage responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the FinTech industry, including market trends, economic drivers, and technology developments.
- Support Senior Analysts in the research process, including building and maintaining financial models, conducting fundamental analysis, and writing detailed research reports.
- Manage and mentor junior research analysts, ensuring the team produces high-quality work.
- Generate investment ideas and contribute to the creation of research materials, presentations, and notes on covered companies and industry topics.
- Interact with clients, corporate management teams, and internal teams, providing insights and presenting research findings.
- Analyze financial data and market trends to evaluate companies' financial health, valuation, and market potential.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in equity research, experience covering FinTech preferred but not mandatory.

- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to build and maintain complex financial models.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
- A deep understanding of finance, accounting, securities valuation, and industry dynamics.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
- Eagerness to learn and develop within the FinTech sector.
Licensing:
- Must have passed FINRA mandated exams, including the SIE, Series 7, 63, 86, and 87.
Other Requirements:
- U.S. work authorization required (FT Partners does not sponsor work visas).

Compensation: $95,000-$140,000 base salary + year-end bonus
