Role purpose
Responsible for and assisting in the completion of all work produced by the Global Creative team, creating print and digital ready files/ assets for a range of Aesop projects and campaigns for Regional use. The role requires you to work under the direction of the Global Creative and Regional Studio team.
In this position you will be collaborative by nature and be able to work both autonomously and to strict deadlines with exacting standards. Your ability to liaise with your stakeholders across the world, build partnerships and support your colleagues will be important to your success. This is a full-time position, based in Shanghai.
General
Delivering artwork for use across all print media, Aesop websites, eDMs and socials
Staying up-to-date with industry tools and standards
Image retouching and liaising with external photographers/retouchers
Manage folder systems, keep up to date records and administration of relevant artwork files
Assist with maintaining Digital Asset library
Being up-to-date with job and print specifications
Advocate and uphold Aesop’s aesthetic codes and culture
General assistance with project work and administrative tasks, as required
Good knowledge of e-commerce and Social Media platforms TMall, WeChat, Weibo, LRB (CN), Kakao (KR), LINE (JP)
Preparing artwork for print
Solid understanding of preparing print-ready artwork: postcards, brochures, leaflets, sponsorship ads
Preparing In-store communication assets such as window vinyl, light boxes, price lists and other POS material
Products: prepare product labels and packaging
Stationery: prepare envelopes, business cards, with compliments cards, folders and other branded artwork
Assist with press checks
Preparing artwork for digital
Integration of photos and graphical elements from briefs supplied
Create still imagery and videos for use on socials, ecommerce platforms and Out of Home advertisements
Update website graphics as required
Prepare customer emails and global newsletters
Technical Requirements (or Certification Requirements)
Degree Qualified in Graphic Design or a similar field, highly regarded
Key Experience, Knowledge & Skills Required
Experience in an in-house team, creative agency/ digital studio or print house
Meticulous attention to detail, creativity and flair while meeting requirements of the brief and business
Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and basic video editing skills in Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro.
Advanced image retouching and typesetting skills.
Strong understanding and application of design principles
Proven experience managing multiple projects with strict time-dependent deliverables
Strong understanding of pre-press and preparing print-ready artwork, from small to large scale marketing, store design and creative collaterals.
Strong time management and organisation skills multitask and maintain folder systems and digital asset library.
Strong sense of initiative and highly detail oriented, adhering to guidelines where required with excellent follow through skills.
Natural, clear communicator
Knowledge of cloud-based project management apps (Monday.com and/or similar) and proficient in use of Microsoft Office 365 highly regarded.
Passionate about the brand and artwork, with continuous improvement of team's efficacy in mind
