The principal technical accounting resource within the Group, owning the Group’s financial accounting and external reporting end-to-end. A key execution partner to the Group Financial Controller, supporting accountability to the Audit & Risk Committee, Board, and regulatory bodies. Success requires deep expertise in ASX external reporting, complex technical accounting, and tax-aware financial statement preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Group consolidation and the preparation of half-year and full-year consolidated financial statements under AASB/IFRS, across multiple legal entities, jurisdictions and currencies.
- Assist with end-to-end preparation and lodgement of ASX statutory reporting (Appendix 4D/4E, Annual Report, Directors’ Report, Remuneration Report)
- Manage the external audit relationship at Group and subsidiary level, own local statutory audits across Philippines, India, UK, Europe, Singapore and Hong Kong.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions (AASB 15/16/2/3), lead adoption of new standards (incl. IFRS 18) and own Group tax accounting under IAS 12/AASB 112 including transfer pricing.
- Set Group accounting policies and strengthen the internal control framework over financial reporting (ICFR/SOX-equivalent), CAPEX governance and divisional OPEX controls.
- Support the Group Financial Controller with Audit & Risk Committee papers, presentations and technical accounting briefings.
- Build and lead a high-performing offshore accounting team, and drive process and systems improvement across finance — AI, Workday, consolidation tools and BI platforms.
What you’ll bring
- 8–10+ years in financial reporting, with 3+ years in a senior or leadership role.
- Extensive IFRS/AASB experience and group consolidation in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
- Hands-on ASX statutory reporting in a publicly listed company (or Big 4 with industry follow-on).
- Tax-aware financial reporting expertise (IAS 12/AASB 112) with practical transfer pricing exposure in a multinational setting.
- Proven leadership of high-performing teams, including offshore.
- US GAAP or dual-reporting experience a plus.
