About the Role
Our team is expanding.
We are looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant (m/f/d) to join our Financial Reporting Team in Berlin. As part of our team, you will be responsible for financial reporting of dedicated group companies and the development of process automatization measures.

This role can be in our Berlin office on a hybrid working model.
Role Responsibilities:
- Preparation of the statutory accounts under local GAAP/IFRS
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory /statutory reporting requirements
- Ensure timely, correct, and complete internal monthly/yearly reporting
- Perform periodic analytical review of financial statements
- Preparation of specific business analyses (e.g. fair market value assessments, profitability on investments), as needed
- Coordination of external (and internal) audits, key contact for the auditors, key liaison person for colleagues within SN
- Responsibility for local GAAP adjustments
- Assessment of accounting treatment for new business transactions, agreements, and new accounting standards /laws (local GAAP/IFRS)
- Provide support/analysis on the local GAAP accounts to other departments (e.g. Tax) as needed
- Preparation and submission of country specific statistical reports (e.g. Bundesbank report)
- Design and contribute to process and system improvements to accelerate monthly/yearly closing / reporting process and to increase quality
- Contribute to projects
- Integration of newly acquired companies in the shared service centre organisation
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in finance and accounting or auditing
- Extensive experience with SAP Finance/Controlling environment
- Knowledge of setting up and optimizing processes
- Knowledge of consolidation tools (e.g. Hyperion Financial Management and SmartNotes) an advantage
- Very good knowledge of accounting according to IAS/IFRS as well as HGB or other local accounting standards
- High IT affinity and interest in automation and digitalization topics
- Sound knowledge of MS Office applications - especially Excel
- Fluency in German and English
- Independent, careful way of working and analytical thinking skills
- Completed studies in business administration, business informatics or comparable qualification
